radiant heat of a bushfire.

Radiant heat from a bushfire is extreme and deadly, but peak intensities usually pass given locations
within about 15 minutes.

Many wombats survive bushfires by avoiding the killer radiant heat by retreating in time to the safety
of their burrows.

Driving a vehicle away from a raging bushfire is not a safe course of action unless done well before the
